History
From our original projet to where we are now
The frogs’ house was established in 2006
It is a life project of a young couple of globe-trotters who wanted to share their love of their region and of French culture with visitors from the world over.
Touristic activities
& Yoga teaching
The purely touristic activities that we were initially offering, such as hikes, cooking classes and visits to the impressive local sites gradually started to be infused with the teachings of yoga; until in 2017 we finally accepted the inevitable and decided to dedicate the frogs’ house to sharing the teachings of yoga; still based here in our village, in our region and in France, and fully conscious of all the delights offered by our geography and culture.
We want to invite you to discover, in yoga or in any spiritual or mindful tradition, your own essence of joy, peace and love
Balance & harmony
Since then the couple who founded the frogs’ house have gone their separate ways. Benoit has stayed and our team has grown to allow us to embody the sense of balance and harmony that we would like to bring to our guests. We want to be able to invite you to discover, in yoga, or indeed in any spiritual or mindful tradition, your own essence of joy, peace and love; for the wellbeing and fulfilment of all.
The name of the frogs’ house
Our English-speaking friends will of course know that “frogs” is a derogatory name for us, the French, in the Anglo-Saxon world, especially in Britain and Australia. While the couple who established the frogs’ house were studying in Australia, they were lovingly called “frogs” by their friends! So as they set out on their project of introducing French culture to the world, through food, local produce, the history of their hilltop village, hikes and visits, it was obvious to them that they would be greeting their international guests in the house of the frogs!
After all, one can’t take oneself too seriously!
