By car / motorbike

You don’t really need transport during your retreat with us. So don’t hire one just for getting here from the airport, unless you really want to go driving around the area in your free time!

To get to the frogs’ house by car or bike, enter “Saint Jeannet (06640)” into your GPS system, and if there are multiple options, choose the route that gets you here via road D18.

By Airplane

The closest airport to us is Nice Cote d’Azur (NCE), just over 15 km aways. Look out for the Baou de Saint-Jeannet, the hill with the cliff edge overlooking the village during your landing on Nice’s waterside airport. You can see the landmark from ground level, too.

To get from the airport to the frogs’ house, you can get a taxi from the rank outside the terminal (70-90 €), or use the Uber or BOLT apps (30-50 €). If you wish to support taxi drivers who live in Saint-Jeannet, you’ll find their contact details below.

Public transport option from the airport

Bus number 54 from the Lignes d’Azur public transport company serves Saint-Jeannet. We are at the terminus, so if you fall asleep on the bus here, it doesn’t matter!

Saturday (and weekday) arrivals

To take the bus here from the airport, if you arrive at Terminal 1, it is a very short distance, less than 5 minutes on foot, to the Grand Arenas bus stop where you can catch bus N°54 and a single ticket will get you all the way to Saint-Jeannet. If you arrive at Terminal 2, catch any of the trams that leave that terminal free of charge, and get off at Grand Arenas.

Here bus tickets can be bought from automatic machines. The ticket is a plastic card on which one journey has been preloaded. You pay 2 € for the card and 2 € for the journey. You can keep the card and use an app to further charge the card to use for journeys during your stay.

Sunday arrivals

On Sundays, currently N°54 does not depart from Grand Arenas, so follow the above instructions to get to Grand Arenas, and once there and once you’ve bought your ticket, instead of catching N°54, catch N°20 towards Giono / Les Pugets, get off at Saint-Laurent-du-Var station – it is only a few stops away from the airport – and catch N°54 at Saint-Laurent-du-Var station. You do not need a new ticket at Saint-Laurent-du-Var station as the original ticket is valid for 75 minutes.

Sharing a ride with other participants of your retreat

In the week leading up to the retreat, we will create a WhatsApp group for guests who want to share the last leg of their journey to us.

You can get in touch with your fellow guests and share a cab, or indeed hop on the train or bus together, whether you arrive at the airport, or are already in the area.

Parking

We do not have a private car park. But there is a large car park (René Veyssi) on your left at the entrance of the village as you approach it. This is where most residents of Saint-Jeannet park their cars. It is a short walk from there to pretty much anywhere in the village.

If you have heavy luggage : you can pass the car park and keep driving as far as the small plaza just above the frogs’ house to unload your car. Please make sure NOT TO continue into the village: make a U-turn to go back to the car park. The roads are very narrow.

This car park is on several levels. For the main level, where you'll see the bus stop, and the tourist information kiosk, you will need a guest parking permit to park for longer than 3 hours. We can provide you with a permit on your arrival, which you can use for the duration of your stay. Just park your car on arrival, and mark your arrival time either on a blue parking clock if you have one, or on a piece of paper that you display in your windscreen. Then when you've received your permit from us, display that in your windscreen instead.

Please remember to return the permit to us before you leave!

Without this permit you are still able to park in the 3 smaller overflow car parks below the main level for longer than 3 hours.
